Abstract

In this paper, as its title indicates, 20 manuseripts transcribed in Gazi Husrev-bey's Medressa in Sarajevo are presented. The manuscripts are given in chronological order i. e. according to the date of their transcription. The author points aut that in the times when the transcription was the only mean of myltiplying and spreading of books the important centres of this activity in the Islamic world were Medressas. That was the reason why the founders of Medressas formed special funds for the purchase of books which would be used as textbooks and handbooks and which would be also transcribed.
