Abstract

The Suleymaniya Library and Suleymaniya Medresa were founded at the same time. The Library, which is now located in the building of the Medresa, is the Central professional manuscript library of Turkey. It contains 94 collections and among the libraries that contain manuscripts form the Arabic-Islamic world it is considered to be one of the most complete ones in the world. Authors of some of the manuscripts are of Yugoslav origin. Among them one can find some new names not known until now.
