About one sexological work in Gazi Husrev - bey's libraray

Abstract

The authors give the contents of the medical-sexological work called Murši ul muteehnil, written by the sheik Muhamed Kutbuddin el-Izniki (d. 1418). It shows the conception about different ethical, medical and psychological questions. Besides medie­val errors in anatomy and embriology the work consists of very interesting ethical stand­points concerning sexuality. The work was very popular. One manuscript is in the Gazi Husrev-bey's library in Sarajevo, and the other is transcribed in Gazi Husrev-bey's medresa in Sarajevo.
