The life and works of Ali Fehmi ef. Đabić

Abstract

 Ali Fehmi Đabić the mufti of Mostar and afterwards professor of Arabic lite­rature at the University of Istanbul, was one of the most educated men of his time in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was an expert in Arabic literature and two of his works dealing with this subject were published. The first work should have had three parts, only part one has been published. The writer of this work has given a review of A. F Đabić's life and literaty activity, and the translated review of the first work of Halis-efendi, an scholar from Istanbul.
