Plagiarism policy

Plagiarism is present if someone deliberately copies other works or if someone copies content without giving proper references.

Plagiarism before publication:

The Gazi Husrev-bey Library will judge any case of plagiarism within the journal Annuals of Gazi Husrev-bey Library. If a member of the editorial board, reviewer, editor or any other member of the editorial staff notices plagiarism at any stage of the process - before or after acceptance, during editing or at the stage of checking the page, they will warn the authors and ask them to revise the content. Manuscripts in which plagiarism has been detected can be of different degrees of plagiarism, so they are treated in different ways:

<5% Plagiarism: The manuscript will be accepted but will be sent to the author for content revision.

5-30% Plagiarism: The manuscript will not be accepted until the author has done a serious revision of the content.

>30% Plagiarism: Manuscript will be rejected without peer review

Plagiarism after publication:

If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the editors will conduct an investigation. If plagiarism is detected, the journal editors will contact the author, and the plagiarized work will be marked as plagiarized on each page of the PDF. Depending on the extent of the plagiarism, the paper may be formally retracted.
